Global tech giants must tackle child sexual abuse material and pro-terror content under new standards set by Australia’s eSafety Commissioner. Starting December 22 of last year, companies like Apple, Google, Microsoft, and Meta will be required to take effective measures to prevent harmful content from being stored or shared. These new standards also explicitly target “nudify apps” and AI tools used to create pornography.
