Google now provides real-time scam call alerts and warnings about hidden malware on Android devices. The Scam Detection feature is available as a public beta on Google phones from the Pixel 6 to the Pixel 9 and uses AI to detect scam call patterns. Google Play Protect offers live threat detection on the Pixel 6 and newer models, specifically targeting stalkerware. You’ll receive a notification to take action if it detects suspicious app activity.

Additionally, a new cloud-based software, Detector of Victim-specific Accessibility (DVa), developed by cybersecurity experts at Georgia Tech, scans phones for malware that exploits accessibility permissions and reports the findings to the user.
